Faithful Servant Mission (FSM) in Costa Rica

What a blessing it was to serve at the Faithful Servant Mission (FSM) in San Ramon, Costa Rica. Thanks again to Wayne and the staff at the mission. It was great meeting and getting to know all who were involved! The work of God was ever present. We were blessed to be invited to an organization where God is already at work. Their driving mission in the Bajo is to improve the spiritual, educational and physical health of those they serve but most importantly, help people develop a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The Bajo is a very poor community of displaced Nicaraguans and Costa Ricans. Poverty, drugs, violence and despair are ever present so it was great for the campers to enjoy playing futbol while learning about God. FSM continues to be a great Spiritual force in the Bajo and I look forward to serving there for many years to come! Check out their website—https:/www.faithfulservantmissions.org/.

We were able to have more than 60 soccer campers for the week. The kiddos of the Bajo were able to enjoy the beautiful game of “futbol” while learning about God’s word. Youth In Motion’s daily messages consisted of education surrounding virtues such as cooperation, devotion, humility, and the love God has for us through his son, Christ Jesus.

We also had the opportunity to have a party on the last day where all were given typical Costa Rican food.

Thanks again to Passback for donating “tacos” (shoes) and soccer balls. The campers were so happy to receive and be able to take them home. Check out their website—https://www.passback-official.org/.

I pray Youth In Motion can come back on a regular basis and play the beautiful game of futbol with the Ticos in the Bajo.
