Youth in Motion Fall Cleanup at Saint Joseph’s of Cottleville

Serving the Body of Christ – Youth In Motion

YIM participants served Jesus this past weekend by serving his church—St. Joseph of Cottleville Parish’s Annual Fall Cleanup. Service isn’t about chores; it’s about purpose and worship. Service is part of our identity as followers of Jesus. We serve not to earn love but because we already have it.

Mark 10:45 – Jesus came not to be served but to serve. He washed feet, fed the hungry, touched the hurting. If the Son of God served, so should we. When we serve, we look the most like Jesus.

Colossians 3:23–24 – Whatever we do — even racking pine needles — is done unto the Lord. God sees every small act of obedience. Today’s work is worship. No job is too small when it’s for Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:27 – The church is a body; each person has a role. Sweeping, raking, picking up trash—these strengthen the whole body. Serving together builds unity and shows Christ to the community. We are stronger together than alone. Today, we shined not with words but with actions. We served with joy, excellence, and humility.
