Youth In Motion at Wapelhorst Aquatic Center!

Youth In Motion was back in action this past week at Wapelhorst Aquatic Center! God blessed us with a beautiful day filled with swimming, laughter, fellowship, and plenty of fun.

A day at the waterpark is full of excitement, but it can also remind us of important truths about our walk with Christ.

The Lazy River — Rest in God

Sometimes life feels rushed and overwhelming. The lazy river reminds us that we don’t always have to be moving. God invites us to slow down, trust Him, and not lean on our own understanding.

We can find rest in God by:
• Starting our day with uninterrupted time with Him
• Praying and meditating on Scripture
• Taking time to notice God’s presence around us
• Remembering the prayers He has answered

Psalm 62 reminds us to find our rest in God alone because He is our rock, our salvation, and our place of safety. He is our cornerstone.

So many times, we look for peace and rest in worldly things, only to become more tired. We are all still a work in progress. Genesis 2 reminds us that God blessed the seventh day and made it holy because He rested from His work of creation. If God demonstrated the importance of rest, we should make time for it in our own lives.

The Tall Blue Slide — Trust God

Standing at the top of a tall waterslide can be intimidating. Looking down requires courage and confidence. But once you take that first step, you discover that the experience is worth it.

God often calls us to step out in faith even when we can’t see what lies ahead. Faith means trusting God when the path ahead isn’t completely clear.

The Lifeguard — Jesus Is Always Watching

What is the role of a lifeguard? They are always watching. We may not notice them every second, but they are ready to respond and rescue us when needed.

In an even greater way, Jesus is always watching over us. He sees our struggles. He hears our prayers. He knows our fears. And He is always ready to help when we call on Him.

Leave Soaked in His Love

There is one thing you can count on at a waterpark—you will leave soaked!

In the same way, when we spend time with Jesus, His love, joy, and peace should overflow into every part of our lives. Our relationship with Christ should impact how we treat others, how we respond to challenges, and how we live each day.

As you enjoy this day, look for opportunities to encourage someone, include someone who may be alone, and thank God for the joy and blessings He has given you.

Rest in Him. Trust in Him. Stay close to Him. And let His love overflow through you.
