Youth In Motion Mission to Costa Rica

Youth In Motion had the privilege of serving at the Faithful Servant Mission near San Ramón, Costa Rica, in the Bajo Tejares district. Over 60 campers participated throughout the week. We organized three age groups—ages 5–8, 9–13, and 14–18—meeting for two hours each day.

Each day, lunch was provided, during which the Gospel was shared by a different staff member (Thanks for the donated lunches, Colonel!). During the two-hour camp sessions, we also held mid-day devotionals where the children learned from the book of Matthew, focusing on the Sermon on the Mount and revisiting the miracles Jesus performed—such as feeding 5,000 men with five loaves and two fish, and walking on water on the Sea of Galilee.

It was a true blessing to play the beautiful game with the local Ticos. Each day focused on a specific soccer skill:

  • Day 1: Dribbling
  • Day 2: Passing
  • Day 3: Shooting
  • Day 4: Tico-led games
  • Day 5: A mini tournament with prizes

At the conclusion of the camp, we held a raffle where over 40 participants won additional prizes.

A special shout-out goes to Passback, who generously donated around 70 pairs of soccer shoes, which the kids were able to take home on the final day of camp. We also received a generous donation of soccer kits from:https://www.passback-official.org/ as well as soccer balls and footballs—each a tremendous blessing.

Everything went according to God’s will, and it was an incredible honor to serve at the
